Good morning

Wisdom

Firstly, a big welcome to our new subscribers! We’ve had more people opt-in to receive this newsletter over the last few weeks and our prayer is that this weekly newsletter encourages you and speaks to you each week, as you launch into what God has called you to do in the Marketplace.

Like most of you probably did, we spent the weekend indoors. We dragged mattresses into the lounge and watched movies and ate popcorn – the kids had a ball!

So we’re feeling a bit more “relaxed” as we prepare for the Business Edge Launch in Tauranga next Wednesday evening, navigate through this week’s meetings and try and listen to the promptings of the holy spirit as we go about our business.

As I read from the book of James this weekend, this particular verse kept on replaying in my mind:

“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” James 3:17

Wisdom is something that we all desire. We want wisdom in every part of our lives. We want to be blessed with wisdom regarding family matters, friendships, investments and business decisions to name but a few.

How do we know when we have wisdom from the Father? James 3:13 states:

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisom.”

As we cry out for wisdom from our Heavenly Father, I felt challenged to consider the motives for my constant requests for wisdom. Is the wisdom that I so desire all of those things that James describes in verse 17? Some of them perhaps, but I think I certainly have room for improvement in this area…

Before I close in prayer, I would just like to encourage you, as you head into this week, to seek God’s heavenly wisdom in all areas of your life. Fix your eyes on Jesus and allow his spirit to lead you.

Blessings Ryan & Carrie-Anne
