Good morning Business

Hugging Family

On Friday night, Carrie-Anne went out for dinner with some friends, so it was me and the 3 kids at home. After getting them, fed, bathed and ready for bed, we dragged some mattresses into the lounge and got comfy to watch a movie. ( I needed a rest from all that work!)

We often hug as a family, but there was this moment, where my youngest, Blake (30 months), cuddled into me and rested his head on my chest while continuing to watch the movie. While it was really cute, I was so aware of how much I love my 3 kids and how blessed I am to be their father.

It also got me thinking, how much more then, does our Heavenly Father love you and I? We are sons and daughters of the creator of heaven and earth!

“For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.” –Galatians 3:26

While I love my kids with everything I have, it pales in comparison to how much God loves each of us!

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” – 1 John 3:1

We are children of God!! …I needed to meditate on those two scriptures for a few minutes before I only started to scratch the surface of what they actually mean – and I still don’t think I’m able to take it all in!

As parents, we want the best for our kids. We want them to be happy, healthy and feel loved. God wants this and more for us. Why not spend a couple of minutes today, just thinking through what the Love of God the Father looks like in your life, and are you seeing it in it’s entirety?

Thought for the week…

God's Love

How deep the Father’s love for us,

How vast beyond all measure

That He should give His only Son

To make a wretch His treasure

These are the lyrics from the first verse of Stuart Townsend’s “How Deep the Father’s Love for us”. Beautiful words.

I pray that as you immerse yourself into this week ahead, that you are able to carry this in your mind – how much the Father loves you and cares for you…may that Love flow through you, in all you think, speak & do.

God bless and have a great week!
